Patson Daka and Enock Mwepu were both on target for Redbull Salzburg when they came from behind to beat St. Polten 4 – 1 in the Austrian Bundesliga.
St. Poulten went ahead in the 12th minute but Salzburg responded well to the setback an levelled terms after they won the ball back near the 18 yard box with the ball deflecting off Brenden Aaronson into the path of the lethal Zambian lad who reacted superbly to slam home from inside the box with 17 minutes played.
The hosts went ahead in the 33rd minute when Mwepu made a run into the box to guide home an Andreas Ulmer cross from the left with the inside of his right foot.
Aaronson made it three in the 69th minute for the log leaders with a curling effort while Mërgim Berisha rounded up the scores with an injury time goal.
It was Daka’s 18th goal in 16 league games as he tightened his grip on to of the top scorers chart which has suspended Sékou Koita in second place with 14 goals. Daka has scored 25 goals in all competitions.
For Mwepu, it was his seventh goal of the season in all competitions as he continues with his stellar performances in the season.
