Mwepu, Daka expected in camp within the next 24 hours

The Chipolopolo Boys are expected to be boosted by the arrival of more foreign-based players in the next 24 hours.

Skipper Enock Mwepu is expected to lead the European based contingent of stars including Leicester City forward Patson Daka, Djurgådens IF midfielder Emmanuel Banda, Midtjylland winger Edward Chilufya and former captain Lubambo Musonda.

South Africa based Gamphani Lungu is expected to be the last to arrive on Tuesday after his last game with Supersport United on Monday.

Scotland based forward Fashion Sakala, South African based defender Rodrick KKabwe and Nsabata are among the seven foreign based players who have already joined camp.

Klings Kangwa, Lameck Banda, Frankie Musonda and goalkeeper Cyril Mwenya Chibwe are the other four in camp.

The Chipolopolo are currently in Accra, Ghana where they are preparing for the June 3 Group H Africa Cup of Nations encounter against Ivory Coast.

Zambia will host the Comoros Islands on June 7 at National Heroes Stadium in an 18:00 hours kick off.

Tickets for the Comoros game are already on sale across all Shoprite outlets via Computicket with the cheapest ticket going at K50. The rest of the tickets are selling at K100 and K200.

  1. Could someone explain. What happens to points accrued or lost to Cote D Ivoire . Do they count? I read somewhere that games against Cote D Ivoire will be taken as friendlies.
