Zambia U-23 National Team goalkeeper Bradley Mweene has joined ADS Sanjoanense, The ZamFoot Crew can reveal.
Mweene has penned a 1 year deal with the São João da Madeira based side which campaigns in the Campeonato de Portugal Prio side.
The 21-year-old has is happy to be at a young age and believes it an opportunity for him to grow in his career.
“Well, I feel great, honored, and blessed that I have begun my professional career in Europe at a very young age. It’s a dream come true, especially when you look at the history of the goalkeeping department in Africa 1/10 goalkeepers have made it to Europe especially at my age, the ones who are making it big they all grew up from here, the likes of Onana but this is a great opportunity for me to grow and improve in my career, Nothing is impossible with God, trust the process and let God led,” Mweene told the ZamFoot Crew.
Mweene who is the nephew to 2012 AFCON winning goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene has set his sights on improving his game.
“My target is to first focus on myself, try to improve my game and everything else will come along the way….no pressure on myself cause I still have a long way to go but bearing in mind that players out there are establishing themselves at a very young age, so I have to work extra hard without putting pressure on myself. One step at a time God will see me through,” he said.
“But in terms of this season’s target. I want to help my team gain promotion to the new profession 3rd division which will start next season,” he added.
Mweene who is a Lusaka Youth product has previously played for Real Kings in South Africa and he was part of coach Beston Chambeshi U-23 squad.
