FT: Maritzburg Utd 0-1 Black Leopards
ABSA PREMIERSHIP|Chipolopolo prolific center-forward Mwape Musonda last evening provided an assist to Lesedi Alton Kapinga the only goal of the game in the 43rd minute for Black Leopards, who defeated Maritzburg United 1-0 away in a week 4 encounter of the 2019/20 South African Premier Soccer League.
The 2018-19 Premier Soccer League top scorer had not featured for Black Leopards prior to last night’s game since the start of the season due to transfer speculations linked to the player out of the club with the Leopards management eager to cash in on their most prized possession.
Mwape Musonda last scored an international goal for Zambia in a 3-2 friendly win against Morroco on June 16th, 2019.
Musonda was heavily linked with a move to Kaizer Chiefs but the deal did not materialize with the transfer fee reported as one of the hindrances to the proposed move.
The glamour boys ended up settling for Serbian striker Samir Nurković. The 27-year-old joined Kaizer Chiefs early in July from KFC Komarno, a Slovakian football team.
