Striker Mwape Musonda finally got off the mark for his PSL club Golden Arrows when he scored the lone goal in Golden Arrow’s 1 – 0 home win against Polokwane city.
Musonda playing his ninth game for Arrows looked lively in the game and his cross in the 13th minute could have helped his team go ahead but the on rushing striker planted his header off the mark when it seemed easier to score.
The 24 year old former Zanaco and Konkola Blades striker however got his goal in the 24th minute when he pounced on a poor clearance which he controlled well to rifle home from within the box.
This was his first goal in the PSL having played only made two substitute appearances in the league last season at Orlando Pirates.
The striker has one national team cap.
The win moves Arrows into 6th position and is a boost for new coach Clinton Larsen who was on the bench for the first time for Arrows.
Musonda is on loan from Orlando Pirates
