Mwape Musonda braces Swallows to win over Sekhukhune United

Zambian striker Mwape Musonda scored a brace as  Swallows FC came from a goal down to edge Sekhukhune United 2-1 in a DSTV Premiership encounter at the Dobsonville Stadium in Johannesburg on Tuesday.

For Sekhukhune United, Chipolopolo goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata picked up an injury and had to be replaced early in the second half while there was no place on the substitutes bench for Rodrick Kabwe.

It was the visitors, Babina Noko who took the lead in the 27th minute as Victor Letsoalo nicked a pass off captain Linda Mntambo and riffled in from close-range.

Sekhukhune were denied a chance to go to the break with their lead as Mwape Musonda brought the Dube Birds level five minutes before halftime with a smart finish to open his goal account for the season.

Sekhukhune were forced to make a forced substitution after Nsabata clashed with Musonda and was withdrawn for Ntokozo Mtshweni.

Musonda was again in target ten minutes to time as he pounced on a rebound from the woodwork to seal a 2-1 win for the Dube Birds, their second win of the season.

Sekhukhune United have now gone three games without a win and only a point picked from a possible nine.

The win takes Swallows to seventh place on the DSTV Premiership log table with 7 points while Sekhukhune drop to 11th place with 5 points.
