MUZA end Buffaloes seven match unbeaten run

FC MUZA have temporarily moved into the top four following their 2-1 win over Green Buffaloes on Friday at the Edwin Imboela Stadium.

The MTN Super League entered week 18 of action on Friday making a return after a two week break during the festive season.

Green Buffaloes welcomed the Elegant Dynamites and were hoping to maintain their good run before the break.

MUZA were the first to strike as Gift Simanansa broke the deadlock in the 24th minute after being set up by Zambia U-23 National team forward Andrew Phiri.

MUZA struck again 16 minutes into the second half, Substitute Bobo Angwenga with the goal this time around to double the lead.

Lucky Bwalya pulled one back with a fine finish but his effort was not enough as MUZA held on to win the match.

The win takes the Mazabuka based outfit to fourth place with 28 points from 18 games while Buffaloes remain second but their seven match unbeaten run comes to an end.
