Mutapa names 26 Young  Bullets for Mukuru Four Nations Tournament

Chipolopolo assistant coach Oswald Mutapa has named a 26 member squad for the Mukuru Four Nations Tournament which will run from 23rd to 31st March 2026 at Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown, Botswana.

ZANACO FC in-form forward Eliya Mandanji leads the squad summoned for the tournament alongside Nkana’s Patrick Chooma, Abraham Siankombo of ZESCO United and Elliot Kampukesa of Nchanga Rangers.

Zambia U-17 foursome of goalkeeper Christo Chitambala, left back Jonathan Kalimina, winger Kelvin Chipelu and striker Abel Salim Nyirongo have all made the cut.

Hosts Botswana will welcome 2012 AFCON champions Zambia, Malawi, and Zimbabwe for the regional tournament, which will feature the senior men’s national teams of the four participating nations during the March FIFA international window.

The competition will provide the Chipolopolo Boys with a valuable platform to test young players while the other team faces off with Argentina during this same window as part of  preparations for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.

A draw which will determine the two semifinal fixtures, with the winners advancing to the final while the losing teams will face off in the third-place playoff will take place this afternoon at 12:00 hours.
