NAPSA Stars head coach Perry Mutapa is expecting a tough week 23 MTN Super League encounter away at FC MUZA.
Mutapa believes it will be a tough match as both teams are aiming for a win having dropped points last weekend.
“There will be no easy match in the second round. MUZA is doing fantastic. And just like us, they are a team coming from National Division One. And so far they have done so well. They had an away fixture in Chingola and got a late equalizer. I know they want to win this game but we have also dropped points in the last two matches so we equally want to win this game,” he said.
“What is important for us is to pick up points. If we had done well last week, we were going to be in the top five, but we did not do well, so the most important thing is to pick up points. But so far so good for the second round as compared to the first round. We have turned the corner in the second round because we have one win and one draw. So, we are looking forward to a positive result.”
There have been issues with the FC MUZA dressing room and recently the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) warned teams of punishment if they decide to avoid the dressing rooms.
When asked about it, Mutapa said his team will use the dressing room unless it is not hygienic enough for his team.
“For me, there’s nothing like using the dressing room or not, but if it’s too small and because of hygiene, sometimes we might say we go outside . Football is not won in the dressing room, with football you must work hard and get the results right, we win by getting the tactics right.”
Mutapa was also quick to heap praise on FC MUZA for ‘the good work they have been doing’.
“They are not just winning. We are giving them respect but it’s a team that has displayed good football and I just want to applaud them for the good work they have been doing,” he said.
The Pensioners will visit Nakambala Stadium this afternoon for a week-23 match of the MTN Super League against F.C MUZA.
