Chipolopolo defender Christopher Munthali could be in trouble after he signed a three year contract with Nkana FC despite having a running contract with town rivals Power Dynamos FC,
Nkana disclosed last week that they had scooped the 2015 Power Dynamos player of the year for an undisclosed figure but but details have emerged that the player still has a running contract with Power.
“This system of inducing players should be done away with. Munthali still has a contract up to December 31, 2016 and we hear Nkana has also given him a three-year contract. If a player wants to move, we can’t stand in his way but the transfer should be done in a professional way,” Power vice-chairman George Lungu told the Daily Mail.
“Our club CEO (Ricky Mamfunda) will formally write to FAZ to complain about Nkana’s underhand methods. Munthali is a professional player who understands the consequences of having double contracts. People should be truthful in such dealings,” he added.
Munthali is currently in Rwanda with Zambia for the CHAN tournament.

Players should be educated on the dire consequences of signing a contract with a new club while they still tied to another club. When such things happen at international level, the loud mouthed will end up pointing a blunt finger at one of FAZ executives particularly King Kalu of playing a part. PLAYERS, PLEASE SEEK ADVICE RATHER THAN BEING ENTICED THROGH KA NGWEE.

Before Chris signed the contract last year n prior to the signing he did mention that he will not extend his stay at PDFC. Its surprising to hear the cry from the Dynamos. Can the authorities give us the true picture of the situation pls.
