Chipolopolo Boys winger Augustine Mulenga has joined South African PSL side, Choppa United.

The Chili Boys took to Social Media to confirm the acquisition of the former Zanaco winger.

Mulenga,33, has penned a two year deal with Chippa United.

“Chippa United Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Zambian striker Augustine Mulenga on a two year contract.

With former stints at Orlando Pirates and Amazulu FC, along with significant contributions to the Zambian National Team,” read part of the statement.

“Mulenga’s rich experience aligns perfectly with our aspirations for the forthcoming season.

As he steps into this new journey with us, we extend our warmest wishes to Mulenga for his tenure at the club. Welcome to the friendly city of Gqeberha.”

Mulenga moved back home from South Africa at the end of his contract with AmaZulu, whom he left at the close of the 2021/2022 season.

The Chipolopolo midfielder joined Lusaka-based club, NAPSA Stars on a free transfer in October on a three-month deal which he extended in January until the end of the season.

Mulenga says he is excited to join Chippa United and wants to contribute to the clubs achievements going forward.

“I’m excited to join Chippa United, It is one of the great clubs in the league and I’m looking forward to contributing and achieving with the club,” he said.

Mulenga joined Amazulu in 2020 shortly after reaching a mutual agreement with the Buccaneers.

Mulenga netted eight goals and registered 13 assists in 48 games for the club after his arrival from Orlando Pirates.
