Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Mukuka Mulenga has slowly been gaining back his fitness and has won plaudits from his coach Ernst Middendorp.
Mulenga who starred for the club over the weekend completing 79 minutes in Celtics 1 – 0 home loss to Bidvest Wits is on loan at Celtic from Mamelodi Sundowns who signed him from Power Dynamos. He missed the whole of last season due to injury but is now evidently regaining his fitness.
According to Kickoff, Middendorp says he is impressed with the player and was certain Sundowns would reclaim him due to his good form.
“He was sent to us to try to bring out his best potential and that’s what we are doing,” Middendorp said.
“He was out for one year with injury and we can see that it’s bit difficult for him, but he is a good player.”
“He came to us in the beginning of September and he last played in August 2013. He is a player that you can count on, but he belongs to Sundowns and I’m sure Trott Moloto is following our games to watch him.
“I’m sure they will take him back,” the German tactician concluded.
Mukuka has featured 6 times for Celtic but has not completed a match yet.
He last played for Chipolopolo on 31st August, 2014 in a friendly that Chipolopolo won 3 – 1 against Sudan. He contributed a goal in the game.
