Copper Queens striker Fridah Mukoma has resumed training following a brief concussion-related layoff as the team began preparations for Tuesday’s third-place playoff against Uzbekistan at the 2025 Yongchuan International Tournament.
Mukoma rejoined team activities during Sunday’s recovery and training sessions at the Yongchuan Sports Centre.
Goalkeeper Eunice Sakala who was also sidelined following a training ground collision continues to be monitored and is yet to resume full training.
The majority of the starters from Saturday’s 3-2 defeat to Thailand undertook an in-house light mobility session focused on recovery.
The rest of the squad participated in a full training session under the guidance of head coach Nora Häuptle and her technical team.
The Copper Queens will face Uzbekistan on Tuesday, 8 April 8 2025 in the third-place playoff match. Kick-off is set for 09h30 CAT at the Yongchuan Sports Centre Stadium in Chongqing.
Hosts China PR and Thailand will square-off in the final at 13h35 CAT.
