Konkola Blades vs Mines United | 15:00

Konkola Blades host Mines United in a crucial encounter at home, with both sides fighting for valuable points. Mines United are buoyed by a 1-0 win over Zanaco, their first victory of the season, and will aim to make it two in a row to improve their 7-point tally, which keeps them at the bottom of the table.

Konkola Blades, just outside the relegation zone, see a win as a chance to move further away from danger. The Blades will also be starting life after midfielder Kelvin Kapumbu parted ways with the club on mutual consent, testing their squad depth early in the season.

F.C MUZA vs Nkwazi FC | 15:00

F.C MUZA kick off their 2026 league campaign when they take on Nkwazi FC at Edwin Imboela Stadium. The Elegant Dynamites sit fifth in the table with 23 points and will be looking to strengthen their push for Absa Cup qualification while maintaining their impressive away form this season.

After a month-long break, coach Nowell Phiri has expressed confidence in his squad’s readiness. “We’ve prepared well for this game and the players are focused on starting the year on a positive note,” he said.

Nkwazi coach Masauso Tembo also confirmed his side are ready for the challenge and warned against complacency following their pre-break win over Zesco United:

“I think, like I said, I think we prepared well. The players we’ve selected are ready. And it shouldn’t get to our head that we beat ZESCO United, and it will be easier against FC MUZA, no. I think we’ve psyched our players to have the right attitude. So really, I can’t complain. The break helped players recover from injuries. It will be a good game,” Tembo said.

FC Leopards vs Kansanshi Dynamos | 15:00

FC Leopards host Kansanshi Dynamos at President Stadium in Kabwe in a clash that could shape the relegation fight. The two sides are separated by just one point on the table, with Leopards sitting 15th on 12 points and Kansanshi 16th on 11 points.

Kansanshi return from the AFCON break after a 2-0 loss to Zesco United, with Assistant Coach Denis Makinka emphasizing the squad is rested, motivated, and ready for a demanding away fixture. “We have worked on the mistakes from the Zesco game and the boys are focused,” he said.

This encounter promises a tightly contested, high-stakes battle as both sides chase an important win to start the year on a positive note.

ZESCO United vs Kabwe Warriors | 15:00

ZESCO United host Kabwe Warriors in a fixture that promises drama and intensity. Both sides are winless in their last two league games, making this a must-win encounter for teams aiming to regain momentum.

Historically, the two sides are evenly matched, with two wins apiece in their last five meetings. ZESCO could unveil their new acquisitions: 19-year-old midfielder Obame from Gabonese side Canon 105 and striker Emmanuel Manda from FC MUZA. Key players for ZESCO include Kelvin Mubanga Kampamba, Amine Hiver, and Alec Ngonga, while Kabwe Warriors will look to Francis Banda upfront and Mangani Banda in goal.

Adding extra intrigue to the clash, ZESCO United legend Jackson ‘Zola’ Mwanza, now assistant coach at Kabwe Warriors, says his side is well-prepared and aiming for a positive result against his former team:

“We’ve prepared so well, and I’m sure the team is ready to take on ZESCO United. It won’t be an easy encounter. Zesco is a very big team, very experienced, and of course, we tried by all means to prepare for the same game. We’re hoping for the best result,” Mwanza said.
