Former Nkwazi head coach Albert Mpande has emerged as the front runner to take over at Nakambala Leopards following the decision to not renew the contract for head coach Zeddy Saileti, The ZamFoot Crew understands.
According to ZamFoot Crew sources in Mazabuka, Mphande who popularly known as ‘Fega’ had a meeting with Nakambala Leopards Executive this afternoon on the possibility of him taking over.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that the meeting went well and the Zambia U20 national team assistant coach may soon be announced as the new boss at the Mazabuka based outfit.
The Club announced this morning that they will not renew the contracts for Zeddy Saileti and Linos Makwaza following a string of poor results which has seen Nakambala Leopards sit just third from bottom on the log with only eight points after eleven games.
Stanley Mutinta and Lameck Banda are currently in charge of the team in the interim capacity and will sit on the bench on Saturday when they welcome Lumwana Radiants in a rescheduled week 11 clash.
