Moses Phiri scored his second goal of the season for his Portuguese Segunda Liga side Academico Viseu when they drew 1 – 1 away against Gil Vicente.
Phiri who has worked his way into the first team after signing for the second tier side during the January transfer window opened the scores in the 8th minute of the game.
Academico’s lead did not last for long as they conceded 8 minutes later.
The former Zanaco striker played the entire game. This was his 9th game of the season.
In Congo, Winstone Kalengo was again not on target when his team AC Leopards beat Etoile du Congo 1 – 0 at home.
Cesaire Gandze scored the only goal of the match but Kalengo still leads the top scorers chart.
Chisamba Lungu made his return to the Ural team after an injury lay off but watched from the bench as his team drew 1 – 1 with Kryla Sovetov.
Gandzasar Kapan drew 2 – 2 with Alashkert and Lubambo Musonda played the entire game.
In the Belgian second division, Lierse drew 0 – 0 at home against Lommel United to stay two points outside the relegation zone but former Nkana striker Ronald Kampamba did not play again.
Lille failed to carry their good run of form into the league cup final as they went down 2 – 1 to league leaders PSG.
Di Maria Angel and Pastore scored a goal each while Sidibe scored the consolation for Lille as PSG retained the cup.
Stopilla Sunzu watched from the bench.
James Chamanga played the entire game when his team Liaoning Whowin drew 0 – 0 away at Beijing Guoan.

Collins Mbesuma will rue his missed chances after he saw his team throw away a 1 – 0 lead to lose 2 – 1 to Supersport United in the quarter finals of the Nedbank Cup.
Supersport equalized in the 68th minute before scoring the winner in the last minute of the game.
Mbesuma started the game and was substituted in the 61st minute. Mukuka Mulenga did not play.
Davies Nkausu was also in action in the Nedbank quarter final to help his team to a 5 – 4 win on post-match penalties after the game ended goalless following extra time.

TP Mazembe drew 1 – 1 away in the play-offs against Sanga Balende.
Kabaso Chongo, Given Singuluma and Jonas Sakuwaha were all named on the bench with only Nathan Sinkala starting the game.
Singuluma came on in the 73rd minute but it was even better to see Zambia’s almost forgotten son Sakuwaha make an appearance in the 82nd minute.
Rainford Kalaba was not named on the bench.
Good to see Moses commanding a place in the starting 11, the goal will do his confidence good.Unfortunate that Mbesuma could neither score nor help his team to the next round. Again Sate Sate missing in action, hope he works harder. Lille coach again sidelining Sunzu. Overall very few of our boys abroad are in top-foam, which is a major concern.
We need players who are active at they respective clubs like moses phiri not bench warmers like mayuka at zamalek
any one with info? why was kalaba not named on the bench?
Just like Walter Bwalya Moses Phiri has always been sidelined by Lwandamina. One wonders if George is even going to have a second look at him with the fact that he is now very far away from home.Home grown coaches are always holding grudges against players for no apparent reason.WE NEED A NEUTRAL COACH!
Musekiwa, mufune, chama and chilufiya they are all rotten . Bring back katebe, munthali and billy mutale then the future of chipolopolo becomes bright.. When Zambia won afcon it was a team of young stars not old people.. The partnership of mufune and chama struggled against Congo ,, but the coach is still maintaining that useless centre back ..
when is munthalis punishment end basa we need him in the team. he played well at cecafa.
