Mufulira Wanderers stunned defending champions Zesco United when they won 1 – 0 at home to almost confirm their survival in the elite league.
A 4th minute well taken goal by Ghanaian Osamunu ensured Mighty walked away with maximum points as they moved into 11th position on 39 points level with Napsa Stars and relegated Nchanga Rangers who are 12th.
Despite Zesco rallying to find an equaliser, Wanderers held on to the lead until the end of the game.
Idriss Mbombo missed the best chance for Zesco in the second half after a miscued clearance fell in his path with only the keeper to beat.
Zesco are firmly out of contentetion to win the league as leaders Zanaco now only need four points to claim the title out of a possible 12 points.

Bring in Marcel Desailly or Sellas Tetteh. No more European coaches unless they are high quality like Herve Renard”.

the vice Secretary for Mufulira wanderers f.c is a square peg in a round whole ,kick him out or let him resign on humanitarian ground and a few in that committee. chairperson is not a problem he only needs pipo to advise. The team needs some fresh players ,discipline must be number one ,give wallen the second chance.Bring other funders on board for motivation purposes ,football is expensive to manage .Mighty for life .mwanja te team lya kwangaliko ilyo.
