Zambia U23 national soccer team coach Fighton Simukonda will have a strengthened side in the All Africa games return match against Nigeria.
And Zambianfootball.co.zm can confirm that the All Africa Games qualifier will be played at the National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
With Zambia having battled to a vital goalless draw away from home, Simukonda will have midfielder Bruce Musakanya back in the team and has kept hope in South Africa based Mukuka Mulenga who failed to turn-up for the first leg despite being invited for the match.
Others who have received call-ups are the Hapoel Ra’anana duo of Emmanuel Mbola and Evans Kangwa who play in Israel.
Simukonda has indicated that he will change tactics going into the second leg against the Samson Siasia coached ‘Dream Team VI’.
Siasia has also hinted on fortifying his team ahead of the game in Lusaka. The five foreign based players to be added to the Nigerian squad are Alampasu Dele Sunday, Bernard Bulbwa, Taiwo Awoniyi, Mustapha Abdullahi and Musa Mohammed.
The game will be played on Sunday, 12th April.
Mwebantu mwe, is Mbola still under 23? at what age did this guy started palying football?
15-16 yes and yes he is very young.
Yrs
This boy is way over 26. Are we copying the West Africans?
MR KANDA, ZAMBIA FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION HAS ALREADY BEEN IN THAT AGE CHEATING MOOD ALREADY SINCE GENERATIONS..
U DIDNT KNOW COS YU LIKED FOOTBALL .. ANYWAY, ITS NOT WEST AFRICANS DESEASES TO UPGRADES AGE CHEATING, ITS AN AFRICAN POORVERTY THAT CREATES AGE CHEATING IN FOOTBALL..
AN AFRICAN PLAYER CAN GET TO THE AGE OF 22 B4 HE COULD BE NOTICED BY THE WESTERN WORLD TO BE SIGNED COS OF POORVERTY
OF STARTING FOOTBALLING..ZAMBIA WAS PART OF IT B4 MR KANDA GOT NOTICED..
Nice one there… Just a correction, the players called by Samson siasia are not foreign based.
They are part of the U-20 nigeria players that won the AYC in Senegal and they are all academy players in Nigeria yet to secure club football.
This is good news, with Musakanya the boy is too selfish, may ba coach should tell this chap not to be selfish but play as a team
team member
@ N’gonga, Mbola was the youngest player in Angola 2010 afcon at 16 though his immediet younger brother was 23 by that time.
This is what we are learning from the giants of african football in west africa. So we shall soon start performing well at junior level world cups.
NB: Mbola is a finished player due to old age if you compare his exploits of 2010 to now. 30/31 year old now.
Lolest! Ati Mbola’s young brother was 23 yrs old when he (Mbola) was 16 yrs old. You’ve cracked my ribs man.
We are not learning from the West Africans. We have been doing this for a long time only that our boys are not as good as the western boys. Soccer in Africa is dominated by the west. A fact hard to bear BUT IT IS THE FACT. They are more advanced in soccer than us. Their players in Europe bring in signing fee funds for their local FAs. That is the difference. Our China & Afghan players bring almost nothing. Our FA should take note
Excellent on e ba Mumbi
Tiye nayo guys.
Thats true ba Billy. His younger bro was playing for D1 north outfit Luapula Zesco in Mansa in 2010! Mbola came to his home town Mansa after Angola afcon to aquire an NRC. Remember also that Mbola had contractual dispute with Pyunik Yevren fc of Saudi Arabia just after afcon, claiming that he was not their player coz they signed him as an under age when that was different from ther Records Pyunik had. The cap Mbola just wanted to join TPM, but was banned for some months by Fifa.
BRING THE IN COPPERBELT KITWE AUTHER DAVES AND PIPO WILL TURN IN GOOD NUMBERS BA LUSAKA KANO IFILIMBA
Eish…. here we go again, instead of analysing the impact these new additions will bring to the team we are busy taking the high road of calling our players liars and making jokes about them. If I told some supposed analysts to “grow up” it will sound way too cliché so I will refrain.
Fighton Simukonda is a seasoned coach and pulling off the draw was huge to say the least. In trying to score this time around the game will be far more open so I hope and will keep my fingers crossed he has a solid game plan.
If our goalie is a shot stopper then maybe employ the same tactics and win the game on penalties.
I MEAN THE GAME BETWEEN ZED N NIG
Good inclusions
All these players are under 23 .
If Mbola was 16 at afcon 2010 then how come he has not grown taller? Zambians grown a lot between the ages of 16 and 21. The fact that he is still the same height is what proves that he was already in his twenties at afcon 2010.
5 + 16 = 21 end of story.
