Israeli based left back Emmanuel Mbola played 120 minutes on Tuesday night in the quarter finals of the State Cup win over Ashdod.
And Emmanuel Mayuka was unused substitute for Ranaana as be watched the proceedings from the bench.
The clash pitted 11th (Ashdod -24 points ) versus 12th (Ranaana -20 points) on a 14 team log as it poised to be an even unfair.
With the match ending 1-1 in regulation, the game went into extra time but still yielded no winner.
After 120 minutes, the tie was settled via post match penalties with Ranaana emerging 5-4 winners.
Despite a slow start, the 24 year old left back is emerging as one of the pillars of the team with top performance in both the league and cup matches.
The former Pyunik Yeravan and FC Porto youth player has far made 18 appearances.
For Mayuka, he came on as a late substitute to make his debut over the weekend.
Congratulations to him. But wait a minute ba Zamfoot….you are reporting that mbola is 24yrs old. It sounds a bit ambiguous that age don’t you think? Are you sure it is the right figure? You best ask him….
They meant to say 34….24 is his football age…remember unlike most Zambians…Mbola finished grade 12 aged 8 years old
It might be true guys that he is 24, remember when he first featured for Chipolopolo at de 2010 AFCON, he was 16 & de youngest player at de tournament
He must have been 18/19 during that tournament…the coach should try out this boy…
yes but why should age always be a talking point. the fact is the boy is putting in the minutes and zambia should be using a player with that experience
