Collins Mbesuma continued with his good form in front of goal when he scored his 12th goal of the season to help Black Aces come back from a 2 – 0 down to draw 2 – 2 against Ajax Cape Town.
In a game of two halves which saw Ajax go to the break with a two goal lead, the Chipolopolo striker struck in the 47th minute when he diverted a shot with the slightest of touches to side-foot the goalkeeper who was already diving the for the shot to get his team back in the game.
Aces added another through Jayiya to draw level in the 84th minute.
Mukuka Mulenga continues to slowly be eased back into the game and he was given a starting berth by coach Etugral Muhsin but the former Power Dynamos midfield dynamo only lasted 30 minutes.
The draw takes Aces into 3rd position and Mbesuma’s, the PSL top scorer’s all round contribution in the game should be a boost for the Chipolopolo going into next month’s international games.
In another PSL fixture, Kennedy Mweene was back on the bench for Mamelodi Sundowns as they extend their lead at the top of the log with a fine performance which saw them win 2 – 1 away against Orlando Pirates.

Please ba Zamfoot give accurate information am just from watching the game Mbesuma hasn’t scored any goal though he had a good game…
Hahahaha. He scored the goal bro. Actually he didn’t even know he had scored. The ball just hit his leg and sent the goalkeeper the wrong way and went into the net. Lol! When things are going your work, you won’t even struggle to do certain things. God’s favour is upon Mbesuma’s career.
I watched the match last night. The goal was given to Mbesuma. He has now hit 12 goals so far and he is in line for a golden boot award for a second time in the PSL.
How come this mix up. We need the true position. Thanks and Shalom
Check ku kick off website the goal has been credited 2 him. Nice one ntofos congrats and also special shout out 2 mweene 4 havin made the bench lol.
Mbesuma was on the score sheet my friend check on supersport news
i feel sorry for tiny mukuka mulenga. his slight size dscourages coaches. kennedy out, and in come jacob!
Mpumalanga Black Aces came back from two goals down to earn a 2-2 draw with Ajax Cape Town at the Athlone Stadium.
The first real opening of the half arrived in the 21st minute, as Lehlohonolo Nonyane did well to lose Mobara before whipping in a cross for Collins Mbesuma, who forced Anssi Jaakkola into a good stop.
Ajax eventually broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute. Prince Nxumalo showed good pace and strength down the left, before whipping a low cross into the six-yard area, where Riyaad Norodien was on hand to tap home.
However, Muhsin Ertugral opted to re-shuffle his pack after 30 minutes and introduced Lebogang Manyama and Thanduyise Khuboni.
Ajax doubled their lead in the 40th minute, as Nxumalo collected a pass from Tashreeq Morris in the six-yard area and fired home a low effort past Shu-Aib Walters.
Aces reduced the deficit two minutes into the halftime break, as Khuboni unleashed a strike at goal, which took a deflection off Mbesuma and wrong-footed Jaakkola.
Aubrey Ngoma squandered a glorious chance to level matters for Aces in the 60th minute, as the winger rounded Jaakkola and fired over the crossbar with the goal at his mercy.
Aces eventually found the equaliser in the 83rd minute, as Manyama threaded a fine pass for Jayiya, who showed great composure to slot into the bottom corner.
Manyama proved to be the visitors’ biggest threat in the second half and he nearly secured the win in the 88th minute. The winger glided past Mosa Lebusa, before firing a low effort at goal, which forced Jaakkola into a fine save.
Nonetheless, the score remained 2-2 at the final whistle, as both sides were forced to settle a point.
Here’s how they lined up:
Ajax Cape Town: Jaakkola, Mobara, Lartey, Coetzee, Lebusa, Graham, Morris, Losper, Nxumalo, Isaacs, Norodien
Mpumalanga Black Aces: Walters, Kobola, Mzava, Ngalo, Nonyane, Ngoma, Moon, Matsi, Modiba, Mbesuma, Mulenga
I think Mbesuma had only 1 shot/deflection on goal. Aces should have buried Ajax. I must say the coach made some good changes that made Aces look more positive after they were down by 2 goals.
But what happened to this Mukuka Mulenga lasting for only 30 min. how was his performance?. pls give us some infors
Mukuka Mulenga’s lack of game time has caught up with him. The guy tried his runs here and there but didn’t bear fruit. He should continue working hard.
Herve Renard has come a new coach for the atlas lions of morocco.

Weather u doubt tht he scored or not th fact is tht th player is now siting on 12 goals in th Absa Premiership.
Mbesuma with 12 goals now
Renard = Rent a Coach!
I think zamfoot you need to correct this statement coz the goal has not been credited to mbesuma if you are not aware just check the number of goals he has scored, you will notice that it is still 11 and not 12. So you ppo who are troubling each other, the truth is that he did not score any goal or if he it has been credited to the one who shot it. Check on the table the goals are still 11
NEW JUST IN
The Absa Premiership’s leading scorer Collins Mbesuma may want to have a word with PSL officials after he was denied his 12th goal of the season on Wednesday.
The Zambian striker played for Mpumalanga Black Aces in their 2-2 draw at Ajax Cape Town and clearly got a slight touch to a shot from Thanduyise Khuboni for AmaZayoni’s first goal.
The touch proved vital as it wrong-footed Ajax goalkeeper Anssi Jaakkola, who will nonetheless be disappointed he was not able to make the save.
But referee Thando Ndzandzeka either missed the deflection or ignored it as his official report has given the goal to Khuboni.
Mbesuma will hope the moment does not prove crucial come the end of the season in the race for the Golden Boot, which carries a cash prize.
The burly forward is therefore left on 11 goals for the season, three ahead of Khama Billiat (Mamelodi Sundowns) and Prince Nxulamo (Ajax Cape Town).
Whether it is credited to him or not, he is still the top goal scorer. Kalengo scored a brace in a mid week and has 10 goals. He is the leading goal scorer in Congo Ligue 1. Zambia on fire. Singuluma seems to be rediscovering his scoring form. Kalaba too scored a brace.
