Collins Mbesuma was today on target for Mpumalanga Black Aces in a friendly match against Kaizer Chiefs played at FNB Stadium.
Mbesuma started the game and scored the second goal for Aces after Judas Moseamedi had put them ahead. Mbesuma was later substituted in the second half in a game both teams made several substitutions.
Meanwhile, Aces coach Muhsin Ertugral has confirmed ‘King David’ as the club captain.
“For us we have also given him the responsibility to lead the team as a captain. With the vast experience that he has, all the possibilities staring him and the person that he is we believe he is the ideal guy for us to be a captain and lead the team. He is officially the captain now,” Aces coach Ertugral tells KickOff.com.

Nice on Mbesuma. Keep scoring those goals. You and Kalengoal are taking us to Russia 2018
One luv to Collins Mbesuma u deserve to be honoured that title to lead mpumalanga black aces as captain of the side coz he`s always determined in everything that he does. Keep it up King David, i salute.
Congulatulations to the main man Mr Mbesuma.Atleast this has made som postive news.
He deserve it
The big man deserves to be captain. Congrats!
In the Zambia v Sudan game in Ndola, Mbesuma was the natural leader on the pitch. He dictated the pace of the game, made very confident touches which the younger guys imitated. He was a marvel to watch. He definately is in his late years of playing. In between breaks, this guy should be attending short coaching courses. He is a natural teacher, we dont need boostele leaders for coaches!!!!!
My interest in Zambian football is at it’s lowest. I have never felt like this before. I think I should focus my interest on other things and of course my own personal interest. I am now a very long break from Zamfoot.
Taking…
Iwe Billy, if you leave then you are giving Kalu victory. You need to stay and continue to make your voice heard, only then we will have change. Don’t give up the fight or else Zambia football is dead.
No bwana Billy, lets keep supporting our team, besides any member missing on this site its a blow , We need you at this trying moment in our football history where all levels Chipolopolo have been eliminated in the first round
Hang in there Billy Let not your interest be dictated by results. We are all not happy about the poor showing of our U23 team etc. Its good to have something to be proud of. Unfortunately, we do not. It is a low point. The Zambia national teams are a part of us. We are part of them. If they went to the world cup, we would be walking with our heads up high. If they failed, we would be dejected.
Their failure is our failure. Their success, is our success. In times like these, we can relive the glory days, forget the present state, and hope for the future.. with a pinch of salt.
Our friends will have a lot to say. No need to defend ourselves, we can just say, congratulations to them, for performing better than us.
Hoping better for our chipolopolo,And we can hav players going to europe and perform well den better for us and our nat
Lusanga I agree with you zambia national soccer team be it under17,20,23 and the senior national team is part of us.let’s not lose hope let’s just keep trying.may be in the next tourney we perform better.our young players should learn one or two things from mbesuma he has the never say die spirit congrates to him
Mbesuma should remain focuse he deserve it.contiue working hard
i hope those dull councellors wont vote kalu back into power. we need change starting with Faz
