Maylan Mulenga wins golden boot

Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club striker Maylan Mulenga finished the FAZ Women’s Super Division as the top goalscorer for the 2023 / 2024 season.

Mulenga won the golden boot after scoring 25 goals for the Zambia army sponsored outfit en route to winning the league.

Green Eagles’ forward Rachel Moono, Lungowe Namasiku of ZISD Women and Charity Mubanga of ZESCO Ndola Girls all finished with 24 goals.

Copper Queens midfielder Avell Chitundu managed to score 22 goals.

Mulenga takes over from Xiomara Mapepa who finished as the top goalscorer in the two seasons prior.

Grace Chanda however remains as the only player to have scored 30+ goals (35) since the inception of the FAZ Women’s Super Division.
