Copper Queens defender Martha Tembo has joined Israeli Premier League side Hapoel Raanana Women.
Tembo has joined Raanana from Turkish club Hakkarigücü Spor and will join her new teammates after the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.
The club took to social media to confirm the development.
“Meet our new defender/midfielder: Martha Tembo, Zambia National Team player, who joins Raanana Women’s Soccer ahead of the 2026/27 season.
Martha is a regular starter for Zambia, with dozens of international appearances and valuable experience at the highest level, including appearances at the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the Olympic Games.
She arrives from Turkish club Hakkarigücü Spor and will join the team after completing her campaign with Zambia at the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off in late July.
A highly versatile player, Martha brings physicality, pace, experience, character and real quality to both the back line and midfield. We believe she will be a major boost for the team — on the pitch and in the dressing room.
We are excited to welcome her to the Raanana Women’s Soccer family and wish her great success in blue.”
Raanana is the third club Martha Tembo has joined since leaving Zambia in January 2023 when she initially joined 16 time Kazakhstan Champions BIIK Kazygurt. She then left to join Hakkarigucu Spor in September 2024.
