Chipolopolo defender Christopher Munthali is on the verge on sealing a move to PSL side Martizburg United.
Power Dynamos club secretary Ricky Mamfunda confirmed that the two clubs are in serious talks over the transfer of the player after the South African made an enquiry on the player last week.
“Talks have advanced with Maritzburg Utd over Munthali, we hope by the end of the week we shall close the deal,” Mamfunda told Supersport
Munthali returned to Power Dynamos after a loan spell at Nkana FC and has emerged as one of the key defenders in the Chipolopolo back-line in recent games playing at the Africa Cup of Nations, the COSAFA Cup and the CHAN qualifiers.

@ Abram, let’s not rush to brand PSL as useless league. What is missing in our players playing their trade in PSL is consistency. I don’t think they can be on the bench if they are working hard

Munthali is one player who has failed to improve on his speed and alertness! In PSL if not careful he will be exposed and that will be his undoing!
Yes that is a big concern remember every coach would want to assemble a strong team so is Zambia. If our players could change the mindset and fight hard to earn a position in their respective clubs Zambia will go far. @ Abram my bro, PSL has made Zambia strong in recent years. Look at players like Chris Katongo, Denis Lota, Mbesuma,Chamanga were the top score at one time in PSL. Zambia won 2012 Afcon with a great combination with worst of players from PSL, namely , Isaac Chansa, Davis Nkausu,Joseph Musonda,Mbesuma,Mweene and,Clifford Mulenga,
