Chipolopolo Boys ‘Manager’ George Lwandamina and coach Irfan Kawri named the CHAN 2016 final squad.
In the squad are Green Buffaloes left back and top scorer Stephen Kabamba who has replaced Boyd M’kandawire.
There’s also a place for Kabwe Warriors’ goalkeeper Lawrence Mulenga as the third choice goalkeeper at the expense of Zanaco second choice Toaster Nsabata while his club mate Racha Kola has made the squad.
Choma based side Green Eagles’ has contributed ‘three’ players Spencer Sautu, Adamson Mulawo and Mwila Phiri Jnr who will join Zesco United after the tournament.
Veterans Chris Katongo and Isaac Chansa are also in the squad
Meanwhile Zambia is expected to shift base to Johannesburg this Friday where the local lads are expected to play a friendly game against Western neighbours Angola.
Goalkeepers: Jacob Banda (Zesco United), Racha Kola, (Zanaco), Lawrence Mulenga (Kabwe Warriors)
Defenders: Christopher Munthali (Power Dynamos), Solomon Sakala (Kabwe Warriors), Donashano Malama (Nkana), George Chilufya (Zanaco), Buchizya Mfune, Adrian Chama, Stephen Kabamba (all Green Buffaloes), Dauti Musekwa (Zesco)
Midfielders: Benson Sakala (Power Dynamos), Mwape Mwelwa, Cletus Chama (both Zesco), Spencer Sautu, Mwila Phiri (both Green Eagles), Jackson Chirwa (Green Buffaloes) Isaac Chansa, Salulani Phiri (both Zanaco).
Strikers: Conlyde Luchanga, Patson Daka (both Power Dynamos), Adamson Mulao (Green Eagles) and Christopher Katongo (Green Buffaloes).
Zamfoot excuse my ignorance but i thought this is still Lwandamina’s team and everyone else is assisting i.e. Lwandamina is still the head coach and Kawri is an assistant coach. By describing the management as Lwandamina (Manager) and Kawri (Coach) you are introducing confusion into the mix. Unless i have missed something?
Lwandamina and his love for players from Buffaloes and Zesco baffles me.
On Zesco players I disagree with your opinion, Zanaco has contributed more than 4 players, followed by GBFC with 5 players, Power and Zesco are on level with 4 players each while Green Eagles with 3 players,Inyanji 2 players and Nkana contributed 1 player. Happy 2016.
Just observiing like the UK observer.
The frontline is blunt.A good decision though to leave out Boyd and Toaster.
Ndeloleshafye as a Zambian observer!!!!!
kabamba is better he is strong, can even score he reminds of watson changwe of kabwe warriors nd zambian
Frontline imwe sure… Even Milanzi can perform better. Anyway all the best
Awe twalibelela moses phiri again out
The strike force isn’t inspiring. We are weak In that area. Kalengo’s absence will be felt.
Happy new bloggers! Zamfoot admins you can’t be left out to this warm greeting from I the Noble Eagle. I miss John, Paradox, Mumbi, Pastor Pulu, Kay Hummer and the list is endless besides I value there contributions for lack of better term I missed this family on Zamfoot so much. Ghanaian and Nigerian brothers Happy New year! We have alot to share this year , Whats new to share with us in your sovereignty. Mother Zambia still peaceful and lying on the backbone of our Motto One Zambia One Nation has now added dual citizenship in the Constitution our supreme document, Zamfoot are you still on holiday? I expected you play a leading role in the gossip on Zambian sons who are qualified on not to bring competition to the national team after our Rep President H.E Edgar Chagwa Lungu “The Jubilee President” assented to the Constitution with an interesting clause “off course dual Citizeship” that’s what am talking about. West coast brothers never mind we are used with our Zamfoot sometimes they go 5 days without LATEST news. Enough of this, I started my new year on the sad note, I lost my only shikulu Lengwe and we buried him on 3rd January 2016 . 2016 I foresee Zambia improving from ha-trick of first round exit to qualifying from group stage to become champions in 5 years to come. FAZ we need Chickens services we can’t be paying for you, okay how much do you pay Chicken if I may ask, yes you have no answer because you don’t know! yes you don’t. Back to the team, Zanaco, Zesco,Power, GBFC, GEFC have contributed their players , lets scrutinize some player don’t deserve a place in the national team naimwe bambala. This is 2016 and we expect much better. faz you can do BETTER!

nanga why isnt mosses phiri in the mix?
Pardon Daka plz no!!!!
Frontline not sharp and who is going to be first choice goal keeper coz Jacob Banda conceeds silly goals Good example a match against nkana He conceded very silly goals, we don’t want at that level those mistakes, for me l feel munyau Danny was supposed to be in goal, not Jacob you can mark my words,
Patson Daka plz no!!!! He is a bench warmer at club level.
Dan munyao z undergoing military training
Chris Katongo will rally the troops.
no politics on this site please. if you want to praise your politian please try zmw or LT or Tufweko.

A team Manager is the head like in Europe Jose Mourinho former Chelsea team Manager. In Africa its different a team Manager is a sponsor of a team or the one who pays after a match, organise water and transport.Chiken George in this context is the European Context.or the Head coach.
