Luyando edge Lusaka Queens as Progress suffer their eighth loss of the season

The FAZ Lusaka Women’s provincial league week 13 concluded today with three matches and saw a total of 6 goals scored in two games while one ended goalless.

The game of the day was between Luyando Foundation Girls and Lusaka Queens at Chinika Secondary School Grounds and it was a match that had a lot of expectations because it was a battle of second and third-placed teams going head to head.

Luyando bounced back to winning ways as they utilized their home ground advantage thanks to a brace from the skillful Ellesy Chilandula while Nandipha Mkombe Katatisha scored a consolation goal for the Queens of Lusaka.

Elsewhere in Chilanga District, the struggle continued for Progress Sports Club after they succumbed to a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Football Chance Foundation Girls in a match played at Mt. Makulu Secondary School Grounds.

Zambia Women’s Under-17 striker Bupe Banda alongside Beatrice Ndhlovu and Gloria Nyangu scored a goal each for the Coach Alfred Shaba drilled lasses who have been impressive in their recent games.

In Kanyama, ZANACO Ladies held Kings Sports Girls to a goalless draw.
