Lusaka Dynamos transfer ban lifted

Zambia Super League side, Lusaka Dynamos transfer ban has been lifted by the Disciplinary Committee of FIFA, The ZamFoot Crew can reveal.

This follows a letter from the FIFA Disciplinary Committee addressed to the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana and made available to the ZamFoot Crew acknowledging the receipt of a settlement agreement between Elite and Mohammed Muntari Tagoe.

“We refer to the abovementioned matter and in particular acknowledge receipt of the correspondences dated 23 October 2020 from the legal representative from Mohammed Muntari Tagoe about the settlement agreement with the Club Lusaka Dynamos FC, copy of which is enclosed hereto for the parties’ perusals.

In this context, we take due note from the contents of said letters that the parties entered into a settlement agreement. By signing this settlement agreement, we understand that the parties settled their dispute related to the decision of the FIFA Disciplinary Committee passed on 7 November 2019.

In view of the foregoing, and in line with the Circular no. 1628 of 9 May 2018, we would like to inform the parties that the present disciplinary proceedings against the club Lusaka Dynamos FC are hereby closed and the transfer ban has been lifted since the parties settled their dispute.”

In April, Lusaka Dynamos were ordered to cough up a total of US$ 48,600 to former goalkeeper Muntari for breach of contract. In February 2017, Tagoe signed a two-year contract with Lusaka Dynamos but terminated his contract because of unpaid entitlements.
