Lumwana Radiants Football Club’s head coach, Bilton Musonda, has been granted permission to travel to Lusaka for medical attention, according to a press statement released by the club’s general secretary, Jonathan Mapipo.
This development comes after the team’s 2-0 home loss to Makeni All Stars.
In Musonda’s absence, First Assistant Coach Allan Kamwanga will take over as head coach and manage the club’s affairs. The team’s current form has raised concerns, with only one win in six opening matches, two draws, and three losses.
Musonda will also seek medical advice on his continued role as head coach, and the club will await this guidance before making further decisions. The club wishes Musonda a speedy recovery and calls on supporters to keep him in their prayers while rallying behind the team.
With Kamwanga at the helm, Lumwana Radiants will aim to turn their fortunes around and try to find a winning formula.
The team’s recent performance has been a major concern, and it’s uncertain what the future holds for Musonda and the club.
