Lumwana appoint Zambian Mourinho as coach

Super League side Lumwana Radiants have announced the appointment of Zambia U17 National team coach Osward ‘Mourinho’ Mutapa as their new head coach. The North Western Province club confirmed the development in a press release made available to th ZamFoot crew.

Mutapa’s last club gig was with relegated National Assembly at the start of last season but however his contract was not renewed midway and he was later appointed U17 National team coach while George Kapembwa was roped in at Assembly.

Lumwana on the other hand been without a permanent coach since they let go of Zeddy Saileti towards the end of the season after a string of poor results.

Mutapa will have to organise a formidable side and avoid fighting relegation again this season after the club finished 17th last season needing a final match day win to avoid the drop.
