Lubambo Musonda named in Slask Wroclaw starting line up for Lodz clash

The former Power Dynamos winger will again start in an unfamiliar right-back position like he did in midweek.

The 25-year-old is taking up the place of Uruguayan defender Guillermo Gastón Cotugno Lima who is still unavailable.

Coach Vítězslav Lavička has made two changes to the team that started against Wisła Płock in midweek.

22-year-old midfielder Jakub Łabojko comes in to take up the place of Michał Chrapek while Robert Pich of Diego Živulić who drops to the bench.

Wroclaw have already secured a place in the championship group but is still fighting for the best position at the end of the main round because ending in the top four will guarantee them playing four of their seven Championship games at home.

Third-placed WKS’ qualification to the Championship group means they have returned to fight for the title for the first time after a five-year break. Wroclaw has a chance to win the title when the league is divided into two groups after today’s games and a place in the UEFA Competitions as the Champions book a place in the UEFA Champions League qualifying rounds and the runner up and third-placed side qualify for UEFA Europa League.

In the reverse fixture, Wroclaw won 1-0 in Łódź and today’s match will start at 18:00.

Silesia starting line-up: Putnocky – Musonda, Puerto, Tamás, Stiglec – Mączyński, Markovć, Pich, Łabojko, Płacheta – Exposito
