French Ligue 1 side Lille Olympique Sporting Club are reportedly prepared to make a €30 Million bid for Zambian striker Patson Daka.
However, Salzburg is not willing to let go of their star forward. According to Austrian Newspaper, Salzburger Nachrichten the club still has alit of plans with the 21-year-old forward.
“We still have big goals with Patson Daka. lIt is not our plan to hand over Daka now, ” Salzburg Sports Director Christoph Freund is quoted as saying.
Freund also went on to reveal that a lot of clubs are interested in the former Kafue Celtic forward who had a brilliant 2019/2020 season helping his club to a league and domestic cup double.
The 2017 CAF young player of the year played a total of 45 games for Salzburg in the just-ended season scoring 27 goals and providing 12 assists.
And when he scored his second goal against TSV Hartberg last month, Daka became the first Zambian to score 20 league goals or more for a European club surpassing Mwape Miti’s 19 goals scored in the 2003/04 season for Danish side Odense Boldklub.
I think he is almost ready for a bigger league, but if he remains at Salzburg for 1 more season he will be EPL or La Liga material at Lille his development will be slower than at Salzburg or Lipzig.
For now he should stay where he is. Lille Olympique Sporting Club do not play Champions League football
Leave Mwepu and Daka alone please, they are at the best club in the world.
