  6. Any team that will score now will qualify otherwise the game looks like heading for a 0-0 draw and the spot kicks like in Gabon 2012 AFCON final

  7. Spineless supporters! You think ICV is a small team that will come with their tails in between to be smacked? From the comments here that is the mentality of the team out their. Show character by acknowledging all the facets of the game and fighting till the end.

  8. If we loose on spot kicks I for one will not be bothered. It is a gamble that has no home ground advantage

  13. That is called football! Congrats boys! You have to fight till the end and go past the good teams to prove you got balls.

  14. Wooo hoooo… What a tense pk. This tie was won away in i.coasf, but well done boys u done us proud.. All games at nkoloma… Hehehe

  15. Good job Zamfoot for the updates. Thank you and cheers! If I was there I was going to buy you some beers as we celebrate today.

  16. It’s good that the team has qualified but definitely am not convinced by the performance of our team.A lot still needs to be done

  17. Congratulations to the boys, coaches,Faz and thank you to the fans who went to watch the game at Nkoloma! Chipolopolo! Chipolopolo!

  18. I’m glad that we have qualified but definitely not convinced by the performance of our team.A lot still needs to be done. This is not the team to represent us

  19. Congrats to the young Chipolopolo Boys! This has been a great weekend for Zambian soccer, with Jacob Mulenga scoring a brace in China and Sunzu joining Lille. Wonderful stuff!

  20. 2 good teams tangled and the grass to suffered.Good job boys n prepare well for the last hurdle which is the tournament itself.

  21. So the vilified Patson scores?

That was great. The truth of the matter is whatever reasons Patson is being afforded chances, mother Zambia shall benefit

  22. Good job to all those who made this sweet victory possible but the lads were so pathetic as far as taking those spot kicks thank God our ever disappointing national television never showed the match because I would have not managed to go through all that agony.Better to go to the wire with teams like Ivory Coast and win unlike with pathetic useless teams like Namibia,GB and the likes. These coaches never cease to amaze me this Patson lad makes the starting lineup in the senior team but starts on the beach with the juniors or it was just tactical, the boy cost us two points with useless GB.

  23. What’s going on ba Zamfoot kanshi! The match was played in Zambia, it shouldn’t take forever to come up with a match report. You’re playing catch up to Lusaka Times sure? You did a good job on match updates and then ziiiii

  24. I have learned to moderate my tone when criticizing players in the age restricted teams(u-17,U-20 and under 23) because these players are still learning and must be supported in their learning process.
I have seen a mechanical and serial missing Chris Katongo develop into one of the most feared attacking midfielders on the continent.
With patience and hard work these players can work on their weaknesses and record tremendous improvement in their game.
Kennedy Mweene used to understudy Kalililo Kakonje at under 23 level but over time Mweene worked hard enough to be our first choice goalkeeper at senior level and was a big factor to Zambia’s triumph at the 2912 Afcon.
We have also seen players who were branded as “the next big thing” based on their performance within the age restricted teams disappoint us.The reasons of course for such can range from injury to just the praise getting to the youngster’s head and the player stops working towards improving.
