Levy Chabala describes winning against Forest Rangers as marvelous

Kabwe Warriors head coach Levy ‘Chabby’ Chabala has described his team’s 2-1 win over Forest Rangers as a marvelous thing that will help his team move forward.

The soft-spoken tactician was also quick to thank his players for the hard work.

” It’s marvelous, We failed to win the transitional league at home which has been haunting us for some time, and at least a win has given us a chance to move forward. We really appreciate the players for the hard work, our players have done their best and it is good for the team,” Chabala told the ZamFoot Crew.

“Scoring in the dying minutes of the game is a great achievement for the team, we are just hoping that the new year will not destroy the team.”

“The goal which Forest rangers scored was just a mistake between the keeper and the defender because the defender was supposed to let the goalkeeper work but unfortunately he did not any way that is memory,” he added.

Kabwe Warriors opened the scores in the 36th minute from a beautiful bicycle kick by Akakulubelwa Mwachiaba to put the hosts in the lead but in the 65th minute Forest leveled matters through Nigerian winger in Quadri kola.

In what seemed to be heading for a one-all draw, it had to take Mathews Nkhowani to score in the 91st minute, A match-winner to hand the Magnificent People’s team their first win of the season at home.

Kabwe Warriors’ next assignment is against Sensational Zanaco who suffered a 2-1 loss away to Power Dynamos at Arthur Davies Stadium in Kitwe.
