Lameck Banda returns to FC MUZA

Lameck Banda has been reappointed head coach of FC MUZA after the departure of Mathews Ndhlovu

The Club took to social media to confirm the development. Banda recently part ways with Prison Leopards after just months of being in charge. 

Banda previously served as F.C MUZA head coach and guided the team into the CAF Confederation Cup and the 2023 ABSA Cup final. 

Banda will be assisted by Ernest Malambo and Cosmas Mujika.

Maestro United Zambia Football Club (F.C MUZA) wishes to announce the appointment of Lameck Banda as new club head coach with immediate effect.

Banda who previously served as F.C MUZA head coach and guided the team into CAF Confederation Cup and the 2023 ABSA Cup finals, takes back the coaching mantle from Mathews Ndhlovu who left the club at the end of the 2023/2024 season after the expiry of his contract.

Banda will be assisted by Ernest Malambo and Cosmas Mujika while Masauso Phiri and Matthews Mwale will continue as goalkeeper coach and equipment manager respectively.

Meanwhile, the Club has appointed former Nchanga  Rangers assistant and Circuit City assistant coach, Benson Chiwaya as club Physical Trainer.

The club has also parted ways with assistant coach Billy Imonda whose contract expired at the end of the last season.

Chief Executive Officer, Joel Kabika disclosed the development with club management strongly believing  the appointment of Coach Lameck Banda will boost the technical bench and help the team to continue fighting for honours in the Super League and qualify for continental football.

Mr. Kabika has since wished the new head coach and the entire technical bench success as they lead the club into new era.

Mr Kabika also thanked the outgoing head coach, Mathews Ndhlovu, for his dedication and contributions during his tenure.  He acknowledged Coach Ndhlovu for his integral part of the club’s journey, and wished him all the best in his future endeavours.
