Chipolopolo winger Lameck Banda scored the second goal for US Lecce who recorded a 2-1 win over Torino in the Italian Serie A round 13 encounter.Â
Banda netted the second goal in the twenty second minute as tapped in at the far post after being set up well by Medon Berisha.
Lassana Coulibaly had put Lecce in the lead two minutes earlier after he headed in Berisha’s beautiful cross.
The goal was the Zambian international’s first for the season and his first since December 2023.
Banda struggled with an injury and game time prior to the last 11 games which he has played in consistently despite only starting four games.
Che Adams reduced the deficit three minutes before the hour mark thanks to a deflected shot.
The visitors had a chance to rescue a point in additional time only for Falcone to save Kristjan Asllani’s penalty and make sure Lecce recorded their first win of the 2025/2026 season.
The win takes Lecce to 14th place with 13 points after 13 games.
