Copper Queens forward Rachel Kundananji scored the first goal as Madrid CFF cruised to a 2-0 win over Villarreal CF in a round 12 Spanish Liga F encounter.
Madrid CFF controlled the game from the onset and threatened as early as the thirteenth minute with Young Ju Lee coming close.
Kundananji soon put Madrid in the lead as she lashed into a loose ball in the box before slotting home with ease in the 21st minute.
Madrid doubled the lead soon after as Cris Librán made it 2-0 with another fine finish after being set up by Luany.
In the second half, Madrid continued to dominate and Kundananji came close just after the hour mark only for Carmen Carbonell to make a fantastic stop with her leg.
The capital city based side held on to win the match and move to 3rd place with 27 points as they head to the break.
Kundananji has now scored eight league goals, tied as leading goalscorer with FC Barcelona’s Caroline Hansen.
Madrid will return to action in January in a derby against Real Madrid.
