Kundananji nets 15th League goal in Madrid CFF draw

Copper Queens forward Rachel Kundananji continued her goal scoring streak for her club as she netted on Sunday. 

Kundananji scored the opener for Madrid CFF in their 2-2 draw with Las Planas away in Sant Joan Despi. 

Kundananji ran half the pitch before going round the keeper before slotting home with ease in an empty net at teb half hour mark. 

Spanish forward Irina Uribe levelled matters for Las Planas six minutes into the second half with a powerful strike inside the area. 

Uribe then put her side in the lead in the 65th minute with a headed goal after the Madrid CFF goalkeeper failed to deal with a powerful long range strike. 

Madrid however drew level 9 minutes later with Kundananji involved in the build up to Karen Araya’s goal, 2-2 the match finished. 

Compatriot Grace Chanda was a second half substitute. 

The duo are expected to be in Coach Bruce Mwape’s final squad for next month’s International friendly matches against South Korea away in Seoul. 

Kundananji has now scored 15 goals in the league but she is 7 goals shy of Levante’s Alba Maria Redondo Ferrer who is the leading goal scorer.
