Zambia Women’s National Team head coach Bruce Mwape is expected to name his squad for next month’s International friendly matches.
Mwape is expected to have a strong squad for the April FIFA window with Foreign based players also expected to be available for the assignment.
Mwape will most likely be without defensive Queenspin Lushomo Mweemba who is currently nursing an injury suffered during the 1-0 loss to YASA Queens.
The Copper Queens will face Asian side Korea Republic in two international friendly matches on April 7&11.
The two matches are part of the Copper Queens preparations for the upcoming 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Korea Republic is ranked 15th in the World while Zambia is perched in the 81st position on the global charts.
South Korea is in Group H alongside Morocco, Colombia, and Germany. A match against Zambia will be an opportunity to face African opposition as part of preparations for the FIFA World Cup.
Zambia played North Macedonia, Slovenia and Uzbekistan during the March FIFA window
In November last year the Copper Queens also faced Colombia in two international friendly matches.
Zambia are in Group C alongside Spain, Japan and Costa Rica.The World Cup will kick off on July 20 in Australia/New Zealand.
