Bay FC forward Rachel Kundananji is set to lead the Copper Queens at the FIFA Window Three-Nations Tournament to be hosted by Malawi.
Kundananji is expected to again captain the side in the absence of Barbra Banda who continues on her road to recovery from a hip injury that has kept her out of action since August 16.
Meanwhile ZESCO Ndola Girls midfielder Avell Chitundu has returned to the Copper Queens set up after missing the back to back 2026 WAFCON qualifiers against Namibia.
Zambia U17 National team player Mercy Chipasula fresh from a World Cup outing is also back in the fold alongside ZESCO Ndola Girls left back Judy Soko.
U20 defender Margaret Gondwe who has been fantastic for Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club so far this season has also made the cut.
The squad also has seasoned campaigners like Mary Wilombe, Rachael Nachula, Grace Chanda, Kabange Mupopo, Lushomo Mweemba, Martha Tembo and Susan Banda among others.
The Three-Nation tournament will have hosts Malawi, Zimbabwe and Zambia. Zambia and Malawi are using this tournament to prepare for the WAFCON where they have both qualified.
The 3-Nation tournament will run from November 28 to December 2 in Lilongwe.
