Rachel Kundananji, Evarine Susan Katongo and Ochumba Oseke Lubanji have returned to the Copper Queens squad ahead of the FIFA Window Four Nations Tournament.
Lubanji on the other hand last featured for the Copper Queens in April, 2025. She got injured during the Copper Queens visit to China in April at the 2025 Yongchuan International Tournament.
Kundananji and Katongo missed the FIFA Series Tournament due to injury and travel restrictions respectively. The Tournament will be held from June 1-9 in Ndola.
Copper Queens coach Nora Elizabeth Häuptle has drafted 11 foreign based players, with three more players on standby due to medical and administrative processes which could potentially take the number to 32.
The squad is led by the United States of America domiciled trio of skipper Barbra Banda (Orlando Pride), Kundananji and the jet-heeled Prisca Chilufya (Angel City) together with Mexico based Grace Chanda.
Also back in the fold are the explosive ZESCO Ndola Girls winger Eneless Phiri who missed out on the FIFA Series assignment and her teammate Avell Chitundu.
The local players have set up camp in Ndola while foreign based players are expected from June 1 when the FIFA Window opens.
Häuptle and her technical bench will be using the FIFA Window friendly matches as part of the preparation for the 2026 Women Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) which kicks off from July 26 August 15 in Morocco.
The first phase of preparations saw Zambia participate in the FIFA Series tournament in April where they played Canada, Brazil and South Korea.
Zambia will host Kenya, Zimbabwe and Lesotho during the Four Nations tournament to be staged at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium. Kenya and Zambia have qualified for the WAFCON which runs from July 25-August 15.
