Copper Queens striker Racheal Kundananji is elated to join Spanish Primera Ibedrola side SD Eibar in the top tier of Spanish Women’s Football from BIIK-Kazgurt in Kazakhstan.
Speaking in an interview with the ZamFoot Crew, Kundananji said she is happy to join Eibar as she will be competing in one of the best leagues in the world.
“I feel happy for the opportunity to join SD Eibar, I will be competing in one of the best female leagues in the world which has big teams with some best players.”
The former Indeni Roses striker further said her target is to help the team win the league and secure a top 5 finish and to score as many goals as an individual to fulfill her dreams.
“My target is to help the team reach at least in the top 5 and even win the league by utilizing the chances we will be having,” she said
“I really want to work hard as an individual and score as many goals as I can and also to fulfill my dreams in playing football,” she concluded.
The 21-year old signed a 2-year contract with the Gunsmiths from Kazakhstan giants BIIK-Kazgurt where she spent two seasons and she is expected to join her new team in the coming few days ahead of the 2021/22 new football season.
She becomes the latest and fourth female Zambian Footballer to ply her trade in Spain after Barbara Banda who was on the books of EDF Logrono and the duo of Hellen Mubanga and Racheal Kundananji who are currently with CFF Zaragoza in the second division Spanish Women’s League.
