Konkola Blades have signed Zambia Under-17 defender Sekanji Siame from Sporting Lusaka.
Sekanji will spend the next 18 month in the border town of Chililabombwe to continue his development.
Blades beat off competition from a host Zambian Super League clubs like Forest Rangers, Red Arrows and Green Buffaloes.
The highly rated centre back was part of Ian Bakala’s Cosafa Under-17 winning side in Malawi and featured in all the games.
He was rock solid, calm and composure on the ball enroute to the success in Malawi
Although he is right footed, Sekanji is also comfortable at left back and in midfield.
He scored 3 goals for Sporting from 15 matches this season.
Meanwhile Blades have signed the following players; Christopher Bwalya (Kafue Celtic), Anos Tembo (Green Eagles), Mathews Lungu (Nkana), Renald Chishimba (Malaiti), and Reagan Mtonga (Power Dynamos).
Others are Spencer Ngwelume (Zimbabwe ), Chewe Mukuka (Red Arrows), Jacob Banda, Emmanuel Mathotho (both Nchanga Rangers) and veteran Chanda Mushili (Napsa Stars).
Blades have also released/loaned the following players;Maybin Kalengo, Chishala Musonda, Erick Mwaba, Lemmy Chibwe, Emmanuel Phiri, Walaza Tembo and Whiteson Songwe
Mathew Tolopa has joined Kabwe Warriors.
