Kola on target in Azam FC win

Zambian striker Roger Kola was on target on Friday afternoon as Azam FC eased past Dodoma Jiji 2-0 in an NBC Premier League encounter.

The 32 year old striker was named in the starting line up leading the attack alongside Ibrahim Ajib and Tepsie Evance.

Kola opened the scores in the 4th minute while former Nkana striker Idriss Ilunga Mbombo came from the bench to seal the result with a goal in the 63rd minute.

Former Red Arrows midfielder Paul Katema started from the bench while winger Charles Zulu was left out of the match day squad.

Kola has now scored 3 goals in the current campaign having netted in the loss to Simba and the lone goal in the win over Mbeya.

The win takes the Ice Cream Makers to 3rd place with 24 points from 14 games. They are four points adrift of Simba SC in second and a further seven away from log leaders Yanga SC.
