Clean sheet for Kennedy Mweene in Sundowns huge Cup win

2012 AFCON winner Kennedy Mweene kept a clean sheet as Mamelodi Sundowns thrashed GladAfrica Championship outfit Richards Bay 4-0 to secure a spot in the Nedbank Cup round of 16.

With Ugandan goal minder Dennis Onyango suspended, Mweene started between the sticks for the Brazilians.

After a slow start, Sundowns swang into gear with Bradley Ralani scoring in the 24th minute to open his goal account for the club on his debut.

The match went to the break with Sundowns leading only by a lone goal. The second goal however came just nine minutes into the second stanza, Rushine De Reuck heading in a Thabiso Kutumela corner kick.

Pavol Safranko came from the bench to add a third, heading in a Khuliso Madau cross.

Namibia start Peter Shalulile completed the mauling scoring two minutes to time, making sure Masandawana qualify to the last 16.
