Kansanshi unveil five new signings

Zambia Superleague newcomers Kansanshi Dynamos have unveiled five new players in preparations for the new season.

2017 U17 COSAFA Championships winner Martin Njobvu is among the players who have joined the Solwezi based outfit as part of their reinforcements. Others are Isaac Ngoma from Green Eagles, Walford Sikanyika from Chambishi, Bob Chansa from Konkola Blades and Timothy Sakala.

Kansanshi announced the development on their official Facebook page.

“The Mabanga boys have brought in new faces as they look to compete in the MTN Zambian super league which kicks off on Saturday 31 August.

We can proudly confirm the signatures of Walford Sikanyika from Chambishi (Forward), Bob Chansa from Konkola Blades (Midfielder), Under 20 international Martin Njobvu and also Timothy Sakala both from Nchanga Rangers (both Midfielders) and Isaac Ngoma from Green Eagles (Striker).”

The Mabanga Boys will start their Superleague campaign with a tricky encounter at home against Powerful Power Dynamos.

They will, however, be without their fans as they were handed a two-game ban. Dynamos will play their first two home games of the season without fans following a ruling by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Disciplinary Committee in July.

This follows a matter in which Young Green Eagles complained to FAZ over the unruly behavior of the Mabanga Boys fans which led to a stoppage of their Division One playoff at the Solwezi Independence Stadium.
