Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club has confirmed the postponement of their Week 25 MTN Super League fixture against Power Dynamos FC, which was scheduled to take place on Sunday, 15 March 2026 at Independence Stadium in Solwezi.
In an official statement released by the club, the development was attributed to the condition of the playing surface following the recent Youth Day celebrations held at the venue.
Kansanshi Dynamos stated:
“Kansanshi Dynamos Football Club wishes to inform its supporters, stakeholders, and the general public that our Week 25 MTN Super League fixture against Power Dynamos FC, scheduled for Sunday, 15 March 2026 at Independence Stadium in Solwezi, has been postponed.
This follows the Youth Day celebrations recently held at the stadium on Thursday, after which the playing surface requires restoration works estimated to take between one to two weeks to return it to suitable match condition.
The club has engaged both Power Dynamos FC and the Zambian Premier League, and it has been agreed that the fixture will be rescheduled to a later date, which will be communicated in due course.
In the meantime, the team will focus on preparations for the upcoming midweek fixture.
We regret any inconvenience caused and thank our supporters for their continued support.”
The club further indicated that a new date for the fixture will be announced once restoration works on the pitch are completed and approved for match use.
