Kaizer Chiefs Gavin Hunt wants Lazarous Kambole to work hard for him to earn a starting spot in the team.
The former Zesco United has struggled for game time since joining the Ndola side.
“On Lazarous, for me, you’ve got to do better. I don’t see enough at training, comes on tonight, he’s got to do better,” Hunt said.
Kambole scored goals for fun at Zesco United and following that impressive, he signed for the South African giants.
“I wanted to start him but I think with the two guys [Leonardo Castro and Samir Nurkovic] – they work well together and played a lot together last year.
“So I think in that position [up front], we know we are obviously short but he’s got to work harder and do a little bit more, without the ball as well.
“Sometimes you come from a different country with a different mentality and he’s got to work harder here. I like him, there’s no problem with him, but we need a little bit more [from him] as a foreign player. I always emphasise that.”
‘Different mentality…has to work harder here’, I think there is more to his below par performances than the fact that he comes from Zed…
Damn you Sir Hunt…
It may be a good idea for Lazarus to consider a move away from Chiefs. A player of his caliber should not be languishing on the bench.
It looks like Chiefs does not work for him. Kambole has what it takes to handle champions league. He demonstrated it with ZESCO.
Let him make a move to another club like Shonga and Mulenga has done
Indirectly the coach was saying he has lost confidence in him. Kambole should look for another team than being mocked and reduced to a spectator.
Let him leave the club
Let him leave the club
Kambole should use his head and move on. The coach was just short of saying f*** off
