FAZ President Andrew Kamanga wants Moses Sichone to continue as national team assistant coach, the ZamFoot Crew understands.
According to a well placed ZamFoot Crew insider in the FAZ Executive Committee, Kamanga faces resistance and from criticism from some of the board members.
“The president wants [Moses] Sichone to continue in the same capacity but some of us are against that,” an insider said.
“We want an active coach from the Super League to be attached to the national team.
“If we go for a foreign coach, we might need someone who knows the players to help the new coach.
With the AFCON qualifiers sent to resume in March next year, Zambia is searching for heading following the resignation of Aljosa Asanovic.
I think kamanga is right on this one. We have tried our local coaches it’s all the same what’s the difference between sichone and the coaches on the local league? So excom think again if not then look for money and employee an expertriate coach
