FAZ President Andrew Kamanga has met 2012 Africa Cup of Nations winning boss Herve Renard on the sidelines of the FIFA Club World Cup final in Abu Dhabi.
The two discussed the 10-year anniversary of Chipolopolo’s AFCON feat and the future.
Renard indicated that he is keenly following the foundations of the Under-17s, Under-20s as well as of the rising stars.
He spoke of the pride of seeing Zambian players such as Patson Daka and Enock Mwepu plying their trade in the English Premier League.
Renard expressed optimism that Zambian football insofar as the senior national team is concerned shall be back at the top soon.
Kamanga on his part appreciated the role Renard played in leading Zambia to its maiden Africa Cup triumph and stated that the moment remains a matter of national pride.
