National Division One side, Napsa stars have confirmed the acquisition of veteran defensive midfielder, Sydney Kalume on a short term deal.
Kalume walks straight into coach Perry Mutapa’s team for this afternoon away at Garden Park as they face off with Kitwe United.
“Sydney Kalume joins The Pensioners for the remainder of the season and has made it to Coach Perry’s line up.”
The 34 year old has a rich CV on the local front having captained Nkana to their 12th title back in 2013 and has also played for other big teams like Zanaco, Zesco United and Lusaka Dynamos.
Kalume played with Perry Mutapa at Lusaka Dynamos.
He has won the league five times. Twice at Zesco United and one each at Zanaco and Nkana
Meanwhile Defender David Owino Odhiambo captains the side in the absence of Luka Banda who is serving his one game suspension after getting a red card in the previous game played against City Of Lusaka.
Left back Born well Silengo is also back in the team after missing out on a number of matches.
NAPSA stars are currently top of the log with 35 points level with Lumwana Radiants but they have a better goal difference.
